From Marcon (North of Italy), to the space station

January 2014: The Mayor Councilor of Marcon visits CAB, a company that manufactures aeronautical components and parts of cargo probes.

“One of the strengths that makes our commercial and industrial area attractive is its diversification.”The Major of Marcon, Andrea Follini, together with the Councilor for Commerce, Enrico De Marco, visited CAB (Costruzioni Aeronautiche Bertola), a company that stands out in our territory and is leader in the production of aeronautical and aerospace components. “I’ve recently discovered that there is a cargo probe that shuttles with the international space station, which has components made by CAB where both aerospace and helicopter structural parts are produced.”

The company is composed of about 40 employees, divided in 3 offices: one in the industrial area of Marcon and two in Via Vittorio Veneto. “For a while”, he specifies, “we’ve been dedicating our Friday afternoons, touring the companies in the local industrial and commercial areas. He continues: “A little at a time we count on seeing them all over the five years, from small companies with five or six workers that make parts of glass chandeliers, to larger companies “.

CAB has been based in the area for years and is already giving jobs to the second generation of workers. “It is a mutual way to reflect on the condition of our companies, which are an economic and employment engine, and to know the state of health of the productive activity.” Furthermore, it is part of the administrative program, where we highlighted the desire to network with these companies and take advantage of Marcon’s important geographical location: the road junction, the proximity to the airport, so that this area can be considered an important production center “. He clarifies: “Our strength is precisely the diversification of the product, which ranges from aircraft components to tortellini, from the pharmaceuticals of Galentis to the San Marco paint factory passing or Alley”.
